I read about Neocolors on one of my fav blogs Daisy Yellow. I couldn’t find any at Michaels so I headed over to a local art supply store, Mittels, and I’m so glad I did. I could feel the specialness of the products the minute I walked in. It reminded me of how nice it is to shop at family owned stores as often as possible. So much care and love of art went into the store. They didn’t have Neocolors but they had Lyra Aquacolors, which I was told were almost the same. I picked out a few colors and tried them out late night last night. What fun! I love the way the colors blended when I added water, especially the really vibrant ones. I can’t wait to experiment more. My kindergartners are going to love these. Thanks for the inspiration Tammy!

Hi! I was looking for free bird art for my two daughter’s bedroom and this popped up. It’s beautiful but I REALLY doubt it’s free. Would you mind if it was printed out for use in two little girls bedrooms? I understand if you say no. But it’s REALLY awesome!
You’re very talented and the birds you made for the rehearsal has given me an idea for their rooms if I can’t find enough free art…I’ll make silhouettes and decorate them and then pop them into their frames (1$ store! and I’m spray painting them teal and drybrushing the swirly design in gold.)
Well, lovely blog and I’m following! Waiting and looking forward to hearing from you!
