Last year we kicked off the year with a pirate theme in kindergarten. It worked so well, we did it again this year. Here are our brand spankin’ new bulletin boards outside the K classrooms. All of the rooms got revamped over the summer, so we have new bulletins outside and inside. No more butcher paper. It’s a sleek, more eco-friendly look and feel now. I dig it.
The kids only came in for an hour or two today, though we still managed to get our pirate ship going. I had pre-cut some hair styles and eye patches and the rest was up to the kids. The coolest surprise was the idea to make the hair into a beard. Love it! Kids are so smart. Now we just need to name our ship and we’re off. Arghhh…
Tomorrow is Back to School. The classroom is looking great and we’re ready to roll. We’re starting off the year with a pirate theme. Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come.
