Stunning! This looks fantastic! How did you attach the paper tree to the wall?
Thank you! Our school was redone last year and part of the rebuild was a more eco friendly school. All of our bulletin boards are made in that nice natural color so we don’t need butcher paper anymore. I just push pinned the paper onto the bulletin board. The paper is from packaging I found around school. So glad you like it. It’s one of my favorite boards.
How did the students construct these owls?
Hi Kim, I did a demo in front of the class first. I demonstrated the shape of the owl, the direction of the triangles (work from the bottom up. the first row point goes up and the rest of the points face down) and the method of putting several ovals for the eyes, large to small. I put out trays of pre-cut triangles in different colors on each table with glue sticks. The beaks are cut from foam paper. The kids cut those. I had to point out some triangle gaps for the kids to fill here and there. Hope this is helpful! It was really fun and the results are great. Meri
